The E-CAB training software is available in two hardware versions :

Robustness and Realistic Experience

The platform offers a complete experience with a realistic seat. Its design allows impactful communication.

1 VR headset for immersion;
1 agricultural seat with
steering wheel equipped with a spinner knob
realistic controls;
1 joystick
1 solid and mobile platform (mounted on wheels);
1 high-end computer, specifically assembled for power and fluidity
1 touchscreen monitor on an arm, for the trainer
1 storage box for the computer for space-saving.

Immersive and Mobile

This version is easily transportable and economical, suitable for equipping a training room.

E-CAB is already used in several training centers. It is also showcased at numerous trade shows: more than 25000 people have tested it!

An attractive tool for presenting careers, especially for young men and women, it is also used as a prevention and safety awareness tool at trade shows and professional events.

E-CAB is an evolving software for the industry. It is continually enhanced with new scenarios and agricultural equipment in viticulture, large-scale farming, tools, and sprayers.

► Field Scenarios

OBJECTIVES in each scenario:

Mastery of the vehicle in different environments,
Successful harvesting maneuvers,
Compliance with road rules.

It includes a mini-game for harvesting with numerous educational benefits. To complete these missions, the trainee has access to harvesting tools, cameras, and visual error feedback and animations (vineyards touched or crushed, conveyor belts in operation, grapes moving on the belts, tipping bins, etc.).

SCORING: The trainee receives a score out of 20 based on their objectives.

► Road Scenarios: Progressive Courses

OBJECTIVE: comply with all road safety rules

seatbelt
turn signals
crossing white lines
stops at stop signs / Yielding
accidents
etc.

Confronted with all road safety rules, the trainee undergoes several scenarios: single-lane roundabout, intersection, overtaking on a departmental road, crossing a car on a municipal road, and the road safety course that includes all the scenarios mentioned above.

Once these modules are mastered, it is possible to test oneself on the “road safety” course that includes all situations.

SCORING: Like a driving license, the trainee loses points for each mistake!

► Initiation Courses to Start

OBJECTIVES:

Understand the vehicle’s dimensions
Adhere to terrain constraints (figure-8 course in reverse or forward, slalom, gate passage…)

Built on a 20-point scoring system, the courses are timed and aim to initiate the trainee to the operation of an agricultural vehicle while better understanding its dimensions.

Currently, E-CAB offers 7 courses with specific objectives and a success threshold to reach: figure-8 course in reverse or forward, slalom course, right-angle course, with gate passages…

SCORING: The courses are timed and scored out of 20.

Origins of the Project…

E-CAB is the result of a consortium bringing together the teaching team from Agri Cap Conduite school in Gironde for the design of the educational content, the company Grégoire for the practical “field” needs, and the companies Shinypix and Studio Nyx for the development of the virtual reality simulator.

Supported by : Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Prefecture of Gironde, Crédit Agricole Charente-Périgord, Crédit Agricole Assurances.

E-CAB was designed to simulate and test situations impossible to reproduce in the conditions of educational centers:

Test and understand the limits of the machine (weight, speed, inertia, blind spots, etc.)
Visualize and learn to use all the dashboard instruments
Simulate driving on both virtual and realistic road and agricultural terrain

E-CAB has received multiple awards from professional circles.

A Partner Testimonial

The sector faces a significant shortage of drivers. The standards are rising in terms of requirements on farms; highly qualified drivers are needed to perform increasingly technical tasks with more complex equipment. E-CAB addresses issues of work quality in plots, safety, and job discovery. We can’t make it more realistic in terms of definition and rendering, allowing us to parallel this simulator with our real driving training. E-CAB allows us to do things that wouldn’t be possible in class, and there is no limit to its development.
