Attractiveness of the farming professions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Renewal of the population of farmers and winegrowers is not assured, and the sector as a whole is struggling to attract young people to these professions, while by 2026, 1 in 2 farmers will be retiring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Competitiveness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Winegrowing is a French industry of excellence. Its economic stakes are considerable, with high export volumes. Today, however, this economy is under threat: over 12% of French vineyards are unproductive due to wood diseases, for a number of reasons, including a crucial shortage of skilled labor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Farmers, winegrowers and foresters are highly exposed to risks such as musculoskeletal disorders, the use of phytosanitary products and the dangers associated with operating machinery. Immersive simulation and training tools are highly effective in raising awareness and preventing these risks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Towards an educational transformation<\/span>
<\/div><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The digital transition is revolutionizing the world of education. It requires the creation of new tools and teaching methods. This is a real asset for vocational training, provided that it is redesigned to be hybrid, including both in-school and distance learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VINUM program bases its hybrid teaching methods on immersive technologies, high-quality 3D imaging, and the non-intrusive use of data collected and shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital technology makes it possible to simulate specific operations. Students\/learners\/farmers\/winegrowers in training can practice specific operations that would be impossible to carry out in the classroom without simulation tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training methods proposed in the VINUM Program emphasize good preventive practices, for these professions which are among the most exposed to occupational accidents and health problems.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The call for expressions of interest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cComp\u00e9tences et M\u00e9tiers d’Avenir\u201d call for expressions of interest is operated by the Caisse des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts et consignations (Banque des territoires) on behalf of the French government, as part of the France 2030 Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its aim is to help meet employment and skills requirements, with recognition in the form of titles, certifications or diplomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May 2022, the VINUM program, dedicated to the digital transformation of the agricultural, winegrowing and forestry sectors, won the award.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Missions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Accelerate implementation of the various aspects of the program identified as priorities by professionals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Disseminate and build on pre-existing work to reach the whole country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
